The formal language of Thailand is Thai, a Kra-Dai language carefully related to Lao, Shan in Myanmar, and a lot of smaller sized languages spoken in an arc from Hainan and Yunnan south to the Chinese border. The "lying flat" motion, common amid Chinese youths, also extends to the domain of relationship and baby-rearing.
