On 7 May 2012, the Atlantic Council awarded him its Distinguished Humanitarian Leadership Award. In December 2010, the German charity Ein Herz für Kinder ("A Heart for Children") awarded him the Golden Heart Award, in recognition of his "charitable and humanitarian endeavours". Harry's charitable efforts have been recognised three instances by the intercontinental local community.
