Walden later on insists that Alan continue to be with him completely when Alan, with Bridget's aid, saves him from Courtney (Jenny McCarthy), a femme fatale who earlier experienced a romance with Charlie, and was out to get Walden's cash. Towards the end of year 10, Lyndsey breaks up with Alan just after she feels like all the spark in their relationship is absent. Alan and Walden became most effective pals soon after that.
