Pan Am introduced the Douglas DC-7C "7 Seas" on transatlantic routes in summer months 1956. In January 1958 the DC-7C nonstop took ten several hours 45 minutes Idlewild to London, enabling Pan Am to keep its individual in opposition to TWA's Super Constellations and Starliners.
