In November 2004, the website teamed up with Dateline NBC in New York City to carry out a substantial sting operation, or "team media bust," entitled To Catch a Predator. Volunteers also take element in what the site's operators simply call "team media busts," in which people are invited to a house by a self-proclaimed insignificant, who is actually a Perverted-Justice volunteer.
