In July 2006, the Indian federal government ordered the blocking of seventeen sites, which include some hosted on the Geocities, Blogspot and Typepad domains. In March 2011, the Government banned numerous sites, Typepad, Mobango, Clickatell, and Facebook for some time devoid of warning. In January 2012, a Delhi court issued summonses to Google and Facebook headquarters for objectionable articles.
