The most egregious episode throughout the Red Summer was a vicious assault on blacks in Elaine, Arkansas, in which approximately two hundred blacks were being murdered. This labor strife was a single of the leads to of the Red Summer of 1919, a horrific collection of race riots across America, in which about 300 African Americans ended up killed in more than 30 metropolitan areas.
