State Attorney General Eliot Spitzer has subpoenaed thousands of paperwork and e-mails from Merrill Lynch that, he says in courtroom files, exhibit that Blodget and other analysts routinely available glowing reviews about businesses they privately dismissed as "junk" or "crap." Spitzer's place of work has subpoenaed at the very least four other financial commitment banks.
