An English-language edition of the channel was originally launched in 1994 throughout Europe and was subsequently renamed Discovery Home and Leisure and afterwards Discovery Real Time as portion of Discovery's slate of themed channels. TLC Balkans was also released on October 1, 2010, replacing the European model of the "Travel & Living Channel" in Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro and North Macedonia.
