Oscar Bait movies typically add some "more robust" written content to get a PG-13 or R rating while their typical tone would be that of a PG-rated movie, as number of films with this score have won the Best Picture Award. Sometimes much better profanity is unnecessarily added, or the figures pay out an irrelevant and fleeting go to to a strip club, or scenes are manufactured far more violent. Not that we are complaining!
