Defective by Design is an FSF-initiated marketing campaign in opposition to DRM. On June 16, 2010, Joe Brockmeier, a journalist at Linux Magazine, criticized the Defective by Design marketing campaign by the FSF as "destructive" and "juvenile" and not getting adequate for giving end users with "credible choices" to proprietary software package. The original function of the FSF was to encourage the ideals of free of charge computer software.
