On 16 July 390 BC, a Gallic military below the management of tribal chieftain Brennus, fulfilled the Romans on the banking institutions of the Allia River ten miles north of Rome. The town of Rome grew from settlements all-around a ford on the river Tiber, a crossroads of visitors and trade. This caused a difficulty, in that Rome came to have a massive male population but was bereft of women.
