The challenge for me is that I felt that the subplots in The Mistress (aka reserve 4) had been not truly sufficiently established up in books 1 via 3, so it felt sort of last moment, and just one of them was frankly unbelievable. Yet many I am sure feel that something that occurred to them back again in 1972, or even last month, that was never ever recurring (or even if it was repeated), presents them some form of assert to be enlightened.
