This document extends the Ethernet Segment strategy so that an ES can be related to a established of EVCs (e.g., VLANs) or other objects this sort of as MPLS Label Switch Paths (LSPs) or Pseudowires (PWs), referred to as Virtual Ethernet Segments (vES). Each section could be located at a distinct web-site, and the segments are interconnected by an IP or MPLS spine.
