The Suzuki Loom Company started in 1909 as a company of looms for weaving silk and cotton. Business boomed as Suzuki developed weaving looms for Japan's huge silk marketplace. 1920: Company is reorganized, incorporated, and capitalized at ¥500,000 as Suzuki Loom Manufacturing Co. with Michio Suzuki as president.
