According to FBI's counterterrorism director Michael G. McGarrity's testimony ahead of Congress in May, the FBI divides domestic terrorism threats into 4 principal types, "racially determined violent extremism, anti-governing administration/anti-authority extremism, animal rights/environmental extremism, and abortion extremism", which includes equally abortion-rights and anti-abortion extremists.
