He is a parody of the "Italian pasta/pizza chef" stereotype (and in simple fact is on a bowling group named "The Stereotypes", alongside with Cletus Spuckler, Captain Horatio McCallister, and Groundskeeper Willie), but seems to be knowledgeable of his status as a inventory character.
