It’s endlessly (but also sickeningly) intriguing to me when folks who feel they’re these terrific, amazing, humane and compassionate associates of the human race metastasize into a little something pretty corrupt and sickening, or just the reverse of what they feel is a noble, uplifting, lovely esprit de corps at the core of who they are.
