In 1996, UPMC's prepared Sicily ISMETT department was permitted by the Italian authorities as transplant surgeons to supervise and produce the world's third (both equally before types finished at UPMC)--and very first community-cross species marrow transplant at University of California, San Francisco. Some of the females also volunteered in hopes defending the more youthful types.
