Charismatic and Pentecostal churches have embraced the ordination of girls due to the fact their founding. Most outstanding is Mary, mother of Jesus who is hugely revered during Christianity, specifically in the Catholic and Orthodox churches wherever she is regarded as the "Theotokos", i.e. "Mother of God".
