The IWF was later documented on the BBC News web site to have claimed "IWF's overriding goal is to minimise the availability of indecent illustrations or photos of children on the Internet, however, on this situation our attempts have had the reverse impact". This effect was also mentioned by the IWF in its statement about the elimination of the URL from the blacklist.
