In longitudinal exploration with adolescents that ascertained their tips about gender stereotypes at baseline and then at abide by-up, recurrent use of SEIM was correlated with improved acceptance of gender stereotypes (Brown & L'Engle, 2009). Importantly, these studies observed that normally adolescents did not maintain gender stereotypical beliefs but that improved use of SEIM could boost beliefs in gender stereotypes as accurate and appealing.
