FreeBSD has carried out a selection of Microsoft Windows indigenous NDIS kernel interfaces to enable FreeBSD to run (normally) Windows-only community motorists. No visible efficiency penalty around native FreeBSD programs has been noted when managing Linux binaries, and, in some situations, these may well even perform much more easily than on Linux.
