Lee and Romita toned down the widespread feeling of antagonism in Parker's earth by improving Parker's romantic relationship with the supporting figures and obtaining tales concentrated as much on the social and university life of the characters as they did on Spider-Man's adventures. Although credited only as artist for most of his operate, Ditko would ultimately plot the tales as well as attract them, leaving Lee to script the dialogue.
