If, as Moldbug indicates, a company state’s gains came from land worth taxes, and so gains arrived from raising land values, then factors like decreasing criminal offense, pollution, and poverty would be in the corporate state’s very best pursuits. They fortunately approved (and invented) subprime loans that would elevate their revenue today at the charge of probable economic catastrophe tomorrow.
