In the late nineteen nineties, the COPINE job ("Combating Paedophile Information Networks in Europe") at University College Cork, in cooperation with the Paedophile Unit of the London Metropolitan Police, created a typology to categorize kid abuse photos for use in equally study and law enforcement.
