The visa lets former victims of sexual intercourse trafficking to continue to be in the United States for three several years and then use for a green card. In 2000 Congress produced the Victims of Trafficking and Violence Protection Act with more durable punishments for sex traffickers. A chapter in The Slave Next Door (2009) reviews that human trafficking and sexual enslavement are not minimal to any unique place or social class.
