In the late nineties, the COPINE venture ("Combating Paedophile Information Networks in Europe") at University College Cork, in cooperation with the Paedophile Unit of the London Metropolitan Police, developed a typology to categorize youngster abuse pictures for use in the two analysis and law enforcement.
