Isn't throwing a significant stunt like this in Venice of all locations inherently currently an overripe exercise in self-importance? I have stayed in some rather dodgy areas in my lifetime but this one particular usually takes the cake. When wealth inures one from chance it also symbolically castrates the work's means to be everything a lot more than a well mannered diversion.
