The sample of genetic correlations suggests that childhood and adolescent internalizing signs and symptoms share sizeable genetic vulnerabilities with adult internalizing diseases and other childhood psychiatric attributes, which could partly explain both of those the persistence of internalizing symptoms above time and the high comorbidity among childhood psychiatric features.
