In January 2022, Hawley termed on Biden to fall guidance of designs for Ukraine to at some point join NATO, on the foundation that committing troops to protect Ukraine would undermine America's capacity to reduce Chinese hegemony in the Indo-Pacific. In October 2019, Hawley called for an impartial investigation into Joe Biden associated to alleged dealings with Ukraine.
