Conceived, scripted and storyboarded by Hayao Miyazaki and directed by his mentor Takahata, Panda is the story of a minimal lady named Mimiko who, after remaining still left property by itself even though her grandmother is away, will become the adoptive daughter and surrogate mother to a large chatting panda and his son Panny.
