In February 2022, civil servants from the UK's Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities had been found to have applied Wikipedia for investigation in the drafting of the Levelling Up White Paper just after journalists at The Independent mentioned that parts of the doc had been lifted immediately from Wikipedia articles or blog posts on Constantinople and the listing of most significant metropolitan areas throughout heritage.
