On sixteen July 390 BC, a Gallic military underneath the management of tribal chieftain Brennus, met the Romans on the banking institutions of the Allia River ten miles north of Rome. The metropolis of Rome grew from settlements close to a ford on the river Tiber, a crossroads of targeted traffic and trade. This brought about a difficulty, in that Rome came to have a massive male population but was bereft of girls.
