A e book composed of letters in between Burroughs and Ginsberg, The Yage Letters, was released in 1963 by City Lights Books. In 2006, a re-edited edition, The Yage Letters Redux, showed that the letters ended up mainly fictionalised from Burroughs' notes. Vollmer's daughter, Julie Adams, went to dwell with her grandmother, and William S. Burroughs Jr. went to St. Louis to stay with his grandparents.
