A vent is a slit in the bottom rear (the "tail") of the jacket. A jetted pocket is most official, with a smaller strip of material taping the top and base of the slit for the pocket. In D/s, the dominant is the major and the submissive is the bottom. After 1935, trousers began to be tapered in at the bottom 50 percent of the leg.
