Someone you may well have identified for a few many years could continue to not refer to you as a Freund but relatively Bekannter (an acquaintance). One very good buddy has still left the community Sangha and is learning with Mingyur Rinpoche - we continue to meet for coffee. They have very good chemistry and the display is executing a very good work pushing storylines.
