The thick stems of this succulent are swollen and help conserve water. They also provide stability. Because pumice does not decompose, you won't need it to be replaced, which can cut down on costs. Cut off any yellow tissues from the Madagascar Palm.
Their true growth period occurs during winter and spring, which is not the case with succulent plants. Because the plant is growing so fast it can't support its own growth rate, this is called "hyper-growth".
