On sixteen July 390 BC, a Gallic army underneath the management of tribal chieftain Brennus, achieved the Romans on the banking institutions of the Allia River 10 miles north of Rome. The town of Rome grew from settlements all around a ford on the river Tiber, a crossroads of targeted visitors and trade. This triggered a problem, in that Rome came to have a large male inhabitants but was bereft of women of all ages.
