Lampshaded as early as the late-80s, when at the top of a difficulty, Mister Fantastic sadly informs Jennifer that on account of a burst of radiation she absorbed, she is now completely caught in her She-Hulk form. The She-Hulk question is apparently played with within the Avengers (Jason Aaron), when Jen's Hulk kind becomes more like Bruce's. He finally came to view it as just one other type of ugliness.
