Wild swings are caused by day to day speculations, do not affect all round ability to trend. Unfortunately that is just what US retirement money is being encouraged, even forced, to put together. The COMEX too has been under scrutiny for supposedly defaulting on gold delivery to valued clients. And I find why governments should be treated any differently than companies.
