The annual Powerball 1st Millionaire of the Year award went to Brian Mineweaser from Pennsylvania just minutes following 2022 started.

There had been two $two million winners — for Match five plus the Energy Play — in Florida and Georgia, respectively, and an additional 12 tickets that won the $1 million prize for obtaining all five numbers correct.

Tickets are sold in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S.
