In 2007, the Ida B. Wells Association was launched by University of Memphis philosophy graduate pupils to endorse dialogue of philosophical difficulties arising from the African-American knowledge and to deliver a context in which to mentor undergraduates. However, she shed the presidency of the National Association of Colored Women in 1924 to the extra diplomatic Mary Bethune.
